I'll reply with mine in a couple weeks. I've already got my copy of SC2 but I won't even be able to install it for awhile.

A short comparison of Valve and Blizzard, two polar opposite companies:
VALVE: - Constant free updates for games, even Counter-Strike. - Free games (Alien Swarm, etc). - Responds to community frequently. - Openness to the mod community.
BLIZZARD: - Charges $60 for one-third of a game. - Still charges $15 per month for a six year old MMORPG that costs $90 to buy the core games to play. - "Working as intended." - Have a good mod idea? You're banned. Sorry.

You're banned. Sorry. Yeah it kind of broke my heart to pay that much for SC2 considering the Terran campaign's have always been my least favorite to play in SC1. I'm hoping they'll lower the price for the next two installments, because there's no way in hell I'm paying $180 for Starcraft in the next year or two. It's a fun game, but single player games are total balls and I'm not a big multi-player Starcraft fan, the lack of LAN and having to utilize Battle.net to such a huge extent are a big turn off. And I'm also pretty sick of Blizzard's official "working as intended" stance whenever they butt-fuck a part of WoW.

You're banned. Sorry. I dont get why everyone says it's 1/3rd of a game. The game has 26 missions, which is only 4 missions off of orginal starcraft. Then I guess you can count the missions too so it puts it pretty near par to a full game, at least by today's standards. The only difference is that you play the whole thing as terran. I'd much rather play a zerg campaign, but I think I'm in the minority. Most folks probably perfer terran which is why blizzard chose them to start out with. The other shit though I'll agree with you on though. Thing is, people still play their games way past any normal games life span. So I dont see them changing any time soon.

Alien Swarm wasn't suppose to be free. It was suppose to be a paid title and have much more content. For whatever reason, something didn't go according to plans and they released what they had for free.
Valve also could burn piles of money, never make another game, and still be very profitable. Steam distribution method = $$$$$$$

Anyone else having any issues with SC2 randomly freezing the whole computer? Or the screen going black for a few seconds?
